A crab can change shells
But can one ever change itself?
Though a bird leads a new flock
Can't it ever change it's glock
Though and eagle spread it's wings to fly away
With it's life does it glide its way?
Can a pig ever eat a fine dish
And keep from wanting fried fish
Can a dog ever lead a man
Instead of bark n put fear in a man
Can a walrus ever soar
Or more oh more would it want water no more
If these things can't be the why we act foreign to
the things we can't see? Has common sense failed?
Will justice ever prevail? Is the truth never for sell?
We all are taken aloof by this treetop truth
Will the ocean ever reveal its floor?
While birds cry "the seas" we have no more
and to the wilderness it goes to shore
a hope quite faint will it bore?
If these things can't be the why we act foreign to
the things we can't see?
Are we forever trapped to this disparity?
While those who suffer cry desparingly?
Even the rich man gives to his own charity
and to his benefit the poor are given
the scraps hand picked from his cherry tree
our half baked truths have taken all aloof
Where is justice? - We stand.
Will there ever be truth in this land?
Have we taken lies clung to our hand
and fed our minds to believe we are living in a promise land
Can a tick outgrow the size of a prick?
Will doctors ever cure the sick?
Oh gee Jimmy cricket! -they say
Just wait and see one day
Anyday will always be that one day
Where we have a chance to live by what we say
It just a matter of choosing that way
Such choice we must make everyday
