There was once a hall monitor
Who was often called the BBD
He was infamous among many students
As he gave detentions for no reason
What did you ask?
Yes I did encounter the BBD
In fact it wasn’t pleasant indeed
It all began my sophomore year
I happened to be in the hall
Waiting to go home in my dad’s car
Tired of waiting I had opened my mouth
For a yarn
But out of the mouth of another student
Came a phrase that summoned the BBD
Suddenly a cool damning mist filled the hall
And out of the door leading to the basement
Leaped the BBP
Boy I tell you I’ve never seen anyone leap so swiftly
Within seconds he had grasped my arm
With the strength of a man trying to strangle a bear
By then my expression had said it all
I regret being down that hall
Trembling with fear
Deeply deprived of my cheer
I let out a shrieking gasp
That’s when a voice
As the sound of death itself
Proceeded out the mouth of
This vile being spewing evil accusations against me
Till this day I have no clue what the creature meant
Though he seemed badly disturbed
However he did live up to the rumor of being
A rude hall monitor second to none
A pointless servant getting paid
To slaughter the academic integrity
Of all students younger than he
“Detention!" he yelled
“It wasn’t me" I quelled
“You liar” he stated
“I’m an innocent man” I debated
“It was someone other than me”
“Alright, I’ll let you go this time”
But before I do, I’ll leave you with one last line
“Don’t mess with me cause I’m the BBD!”
Till this day I’ll never walk that school hall
For there may be some naïve student
Not knowing any better that may sound the call
Of the BBD next time I stroll down that hall
